Cranston West Little League is having it's Opening Day ceremonies this Saturday, April 27 starting at 9am. CLCF Soccer will have games going on as well so parking will be an issue as will getting in and out of the complex. Anyone who is playing on Saturday morning, please plan accordingly. There is no parking allowed along Hope Road. While it is a walk, Hope Highlands Middle School is an option.

Hello there Hope Highland Picklers,

The outdoor season has started! I know that I speak for a lot of us when I say that the wind could be challenging at times thereby diminishing our enjoyment. I'd like you to join Chris C. and me in petitioning Scott to allow us to install wind screens at our expense. It'll probably cost around $200. I'm sure that each of us would be happy to donate $5-$10 towards this project if we're allowed to do so.

Additionally, while we're waiting for approval and installation, Chris C. In the interim, we'd like to propose that to even the playing field (especially when the wind is gusty), the teams should switch sides when the score reaches 6.

See you at the courts!

Richard

switching sides at 6 is a great idea when the weather is windy

happy to pay

Did anyone see a black purse at Hope Highlands?

I'll get in touch with the Scott at the Center to let him know what we're proposing. I'm sure he'll give me some guidance on how to navigate the halls of the City of Cranston.

I'll post an update of my conversation with him and if it's positive, we'll figure a way of collecting the funds for procuring the barriers.

In the meantime those who agree should post a short reply on this site or a simple thumbs up so we can get a head count,

Richard

I am in, and will gladly contribute funds.....the tennis players will benefit also!....if we can get some of them on board
